Nymphaea lotus: Neely's - Bahai'i .... Neely's - Wow! ... Visiting the Lotus Temple in India virtually ...

Hi Marjan, Neely and All,

Very nice to meet you this morning at Neely's and to share the Bahai'i "inspirationals". Thank you Neely for hosting this - and for bringing us all together.

Marjan, Is this the "lotus temple india bahai" - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lotus_Temple - which you mentioned? Looks like it's possible to visit the Lotus Temple virtually a little here - - https://www.google.com/maps/place/Lotus+Temple/@28.553492,77.2588264,15z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x653beb1ee85ec67a!8m2!3d28.553492!4d77.2588264 - but not fulsomely yet in a realistic interactive virtual earth with avatar bots (which I'm hoping to develop at World Univ & Sch). (Think Google Street View w time slider/Maps/Earth & at the cellular & atomic levels with Minecraft/SL/OpenSimulator too e.g. https://twitter.com/sgkmacleod/status/955218421267841024 ).

Here's the Farsi - Persian_language - wiki subject page / school at WUaS -
http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Persian_language - soon to be in Farsi and newly in Iran World University and School here in our new wiki  - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Iran_(Islamic_Republic_of) - all in Farsi.

And it looks like Persian MIT OpenCourseWare actually does still exist - https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/translated-courses/persian/ - but is no longer listed here - https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/translated-courses/ - and I'm not sure why.

WUaS seeks to create major online universities in all ~200 nation states' official languages for free MIT OCW-centric wiki universities (and wiki schools for open teaching and learning in all 7,099 living languages).

Looking forward to staying in touch.

Scott - Thank you so much for thinking of my birthday and bringing the Tart.

Neely - Thanks again for organizing, you worked so hard. Wish we could help you more.

It was great to meet all of you!

Until next time,
Love, peace, patience, and perseverance,

Saumitra, Neely, and all,

Thanks for your email, and the gathering.

Like Saumitra, I'm also a bit on the nontheistic side of things/life (re nontheist Friends/atheistic Quakers, for example), and re Yoga as well, and here's something about this re my "Hippy~angali Yoga Notations" - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2017/08/hippy-anjali-yoga-notations-ntf-talk.html.

Here too is the Desiderata - https://web.archive.org/web/20151224115933/http://www.cs.columbia.edu/~gongsu/desiderata_textonly.html - which I read yesterday, and in a kind of animation here ... https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2016/03/mbuna-animation-of-photo-of-max.html ... and here's a bit about Max Ehrmann - http://myweb.wvnet.edu/~jelkins/lp-2001/ehrmann.html - it's author, who studied law and philosophy at Harvard (so not Harvard Law).

Thanks again so much for the Bahai'i gathering yesterday, Neely (and Saumitra), and good people, all!

Love, peace, patience, and perseverance,

Scott

Hi Maboobeh, Neely, Saumitra and All,

Very nice to meet you this morning at Neely's and to share the Bahai'i "inspirationals" (is this a fair translation/synonmym of "devotionals" here) together.

Here's the gene therapy blog link I mentioned re "Wow" and FDA approved -
https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2018/01/gene-therapy-for-rare-form-of-blindness.html.

Here's the beginning of http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Clinical_Trials_at_WUaS_(for_all_languages)  before we move into our new wiki - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Nation_States - and grow this.

World University and School (WUaS) seeks to create major online universities in all ~200 nation states' official languages for free MIT OCW-centric wiki universities and Bachelor, Ph.D., law, MD and IB high school degrees (and wiki schools for open teaching and learning in all 7,099 living languages). Wikipedia is in 299 languages and MIT OCW in at least 5, by way of comparison.

Check out the "gene" label in my blog. I post daily here, much about WUaS.

Happy birthday, Saumitra!

Looking forward to staying in touch.

Hi M,

Wow - thanks for your email. Never sure that you get these, or what you do with them/how you read them/ if you read them :)

Interesting good Bahai'i gathering this morning with Neely in Berkeley. I met her and a fairly large gathering in her apt's living room through Saumitra / Gubito (Pin's cousin, whom I met with Pin recently, when Pin visited the SF Bay Area). Quite a few academics / Berkeley students. Bahai'i's have many roots in the Persian, Arabic and English languages among an attempt to create a unity religion (re sects) ... interesting ...

When I replied to Ken Thompson's invitation to Burns' night in Pgh that I couldn't come, Nancy Condee replied too:

"Count me in.  I hear Ken is doing an interpretive dance accompanied by a Reggae version of “Address to the Haggis” this year.  Very thoughtful, Ken.  We look forward to the performance around 7.30 or so…"

And I replied: "This video is a trip, Nancy ...

https://youtu.be/ktiONWfSL48 ... not all is well in Russia or ... what a circus ... way beyond Cirque du Soleil? Thanks, Nancy and Ken!

Happy Robbie Burns' night,
Scott
https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Nation_States"

Do you know Nancy? Check out the video. I wonder if you could relate each scene to actual events in a kind of currently "crazed" Russia ...

Are the winds turning and picking up? We'll see ... no word yet from the MIT Media Lab about the faculty position I applied for ...

Glad my piping gig on Saturday was a success (funny category) ...

L,
Scott

While I think Quakers, Unitarian Universalists and nontheist f/Friends share Dr. ML King jr's "I have a dream" vision, and while most of us also share David Boulton's related vision in his article, I also share Victor's thinking re NtF/Quaker belief diversity re UUs - "Also, they rely on a minister, who is going to be a kind of authority figure, while we do not." Every NtF and Quaker bodymind is different with different f/Friendly beliefs (and re historical Quaker thinking, every individual is a potential minister among Friends) ... so there's much greater diversity among friends.

I'm also writing to share my HOLIDAY LETTER with you here -

Tablelands: WUaS Corporation Board Meeting from Stanford? WUaS is in Google Suite for Education, N-P World Univ and Sch is awaiting a "knowledge panel" with Donate Button from Google, Coursera seems to be heading for Google IT support per Andrew Ng, and (Apple's) Woz U too per Google's head Sundar Pichai, In what ways could WUaS best bring to the table CC-4 MIT OCW in its 5-7 languages, with Stanford for Medicine and Law OCW, for these degrees - Bachelor, Ph.D., Law, Medicine and I.B. high school, in ~200 nation states and their official/main languages - and with Wikipedia/Wikidata's 299 languages, to plan and build wiki schools in all 7,099 living languages / 8,461 entries in languages?, Google's Sindar Pichai USA Today article by Reed College's Jessica Guynn about education and jobs, "Finding / creating a job you really love" wiki subject at WUaS, Wondering too if somehow Google / Alphabet's Chairman, Eric Schmidt, who just stepped down as executive chariman of Alphabet could take the WUaS Corporation public in all ~200 countries' official/main languages, Jessica Guynn, Senior technology writer, USA TODAY

Hi Kyle,

Thanks for your emails. WUaS Corporation Board Meeting from Stanford soon? (I think we'll keep Hong Kong and Romania time zones in mind).

Yes, WUaS's emails - e.g. like info@worlduniversityandschool.org - are in Google Suite for Education email, which worlduniversityandschool.org has been "registered" in for a couple of years now.

I'm creating a new F-P WUaS Co email address - probably in Gmail to come - and re WUaS's 10 F-P planned revenue streams in all ~200 countries' official languages and all 7,099 living languages - https://worlduniversityandschool.blogspot.com/2017/06/wuas-corporations-10-planned-for-profit.html

As you may have seen in recent minutes/announcements, N-P World Univ and Sch is awaiting a "knowledge panel" with Donate Button from Google on our non-profit side, (which is what N-P World Univ and Sch is in in Google Education).

F-P WUaS Co may also get a Google "knowledge panel" too eventually.

And like Coursera which seems to be heading for Google IT support - https://twitter.com/AndrewYNg/status/954031734969921536 - and (Apple's) Woz U too per Google's head Sundar Pichai - https://twitter.com/jguynn/status/954464049202278400 - (who was just in Pittsburgh, PA at Google per this article, and where Sundar first landed in the US when he came from India, and where I also first started talking about WUaS back around 2007) - so WUaS may head in this Google Educaction direction too for the A) F-P WUaS Co and B) N-P World University and School.

Thanks for your thinking. Will keep you posted about the upcoming WUaS Co Board Meeting, hopefully from Stanford with you in Hong Kong.

Best, Scott

Jessica:

Nice to e-meet you.

Re LinkedIn this morning: I just retweeted your Google's Sundar Pichai Tweet - https://twitter.com/jguynn/status/954464049202278400 (re "Google to give $1 billion to nonprofits and help Americans get jobs in the new economy" https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2017/10/12/google-give-1-billion-nonprofits-help-americans-get-jobs-new-economy/756703001/) - here - https://twitter.com/WorldUnivAndSch - and blogged today about it today - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2018/01/tablelands-wuas-corporation-board.html - too. I went to Reed from '79-85 (and lived in a Reed house until 1987), so we overlapped in Portland a bit (and there's a "Reed College" label in my blog as well).

(See, too - "Google CEO Sundar Pichai: Digital technology must empower workers, not alienate them: Coding alone will not prepare workers for our tech-filled future" ... https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/digital-technology-must-empower-next-generation-workers-not-alienate-them-ncna838806 ... https://twitter.com/sundarpichai/status/954090982437343232).

Do you go to the Stanford Law / Rock Center SVDX meetings on the 3rd Thursdays per the picture in the background of your Twitter profile - https://twitter.com/jguynn? I've gone fairly regularly for the past 2+ years, and would invite you to the next one, if you don't go and are interested. I was just there last Thursday - https://www.svdx.org/calendar/2018/18/january-morning-speaker-series. Were you there, by any chance?

As you'll read in the blog entry above and per your article, I started talking about CC-4 MIT OCW-centric (in its 5 languages) wiki (like Wikipedia in its 299 languages) World University and School in Pittsburgh around 2007 (leaving Pgh in Jan of 2008 to return to write an actual/virtual anthropological book). WUaS not only has a free online University degree focus in all ~200 countries' official/main languages, but also a number of job and career oriented wiki subjects - e.g. http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Finding_/_creating_a_job_you_really_love (soon to move into WUaS's new wiki below) - for open teaching and learning.

May I invite you to the next Stanford Law/Rock Ctr Silicon Valley Directors' Exchange?

Regards, Scott

Wondering too if somehow Google / Alphabet's Chairman, Eric Schmidt, who just stepped down as executive chariman of Alphabet could take the WUaS Corporation public in all ~200 countries' official/main languages ...

*
Hi Kyle,

Thanks.

Most recent blog post emerges from this email thread with / to you -

Although you're a F-P WUaS Corp Board Member (and we'll see what emerges with D / Stanford and "managing" J, since the officers kind of report to the Board - please befriend J as the opportunity arises - and if Julian becomes the European / Romanian CEO of WUaS Co or similar, if someone like Eric Schmidt could even become WUaS Co's CEO to take the WUaS Corp public), it would be great to learn of your thinking - re N-P World Univ and Sch - over time about how PBL could enhance MIT OCW High School for I.B. degrees in English, Chinese and Spanish to start, and perhaps building off Khan Academy as well as in a Google-centric platform too - conceptually and big picture-wise.

Hi Scott,

Thanks so much for reaching out. Always good to meet a fellow Reedie.

I cover issues of equity, inclusion and diversity for USA Today. The picture in the background of my Twitter profile is an event I put on in 2014 with the Rock Center on that subject with Rev. Jesse Jackson and others (closing the race gap in tech).

Unfortunately your area of focus, which is fascinating, is not on my beat (except to the extent I also cover some of the Internet giants including Google).

All the best,

Hi Jessica,

Likewise re Reed - and thanks for your email and very nice to e-meet you. For your information, World University and School's has a focus academically on "equity, inclusion and diversity," for example, with our Black Studies' wiki page - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Black_Studies (accessible from - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Subjects)  and both soon to move into our new wiki - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Nation_States - and planned as major CC-4 MIT OCW-centric universities in all ~200 countries' official languages (a diversity benefit too), and potentially in all 7,099 living languages as wiki schools for open teaching and learning, where wiki is very inclusive, and 7,099 living languages is very diverse.

And WUaS has recently developed a parallel forked for-profit wing - the WUaS Corporation also planned as academic markets in all 8,461 languages - and thus seeks to become an Internet giant in two ways, potentially eventually hiring 1 million people, with 800,000 as student types working 10 hours per week, and 200,000 FTEs re careers - and re equity questions especially.

When the third Thursday in February gets closer, may I invite you to the Stanford Law / Rock SVDX? (There's a field to invite friends in the registration process and it's free - and Stanford Law events in room 290, where this is often held, are often stellar as conversation).

World University and Schools seeks to become the online Harvard / MIT / Stanford of the internet and in each of all ~200 nation states.

All the best, Scott

Hi Jessica,

As a followup, I enjoyed your Google article too about Alphabet's CEO Eric Schmidt stepping down -

And I also blogged a bit about your two Google giant USA Today articles recently here - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2018/01/tablelands-wuas-corporation-board.html . I even wondered in this blog entry if Eric Schmidt could somehow take the WUaS Corp public.

Thank you.

All the best, Scott

Oliver,

Great presentation yesterday at Stanford Law CodeX. Per LinkedIn - "I asked the question at the end about cryptocurrency co-pilot projects in VT, MA, DC and Canada (and Mexico City?)." And California and India, too?

Re a cryptocurrency with blockchain, and Stockton, California's pilot Universal Basic Income ($500/month to residents of south Stockton?) as a way to make a cryptocurrency an international currency, here's what I'm thinking  -  https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2017/12/magnolia-champaca-potentially-create.html . Conceptually, I'm very TurboTax/Quickbooks' centric since they follow countries' tax code developments and have a research focus on the blockchain ledger in Canada (see the 3 Intuit links here - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2018/01/cedrus-deodara-unitarian-universalist.html ).

So I wonder about getting a few state legislatures in the US to write the legal code to create a cryptocurrency (such as you and your wife are doing in VT) with exchange value between them (taxable too) and combining this with getting a few state legislatures to write the legal code for an universal basic income (such as California's), and both as a way to help people, as well as to grow and spread a cryptocurrency with blockchain (and do this internationally too with a few related pilot projects). (What comes after the dollar as an international cryptocurrency?)

At a key moment in developing WUaS's new wiki in all ~200 countries' official / main languages - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Nation_States  - (and in all 7,099 living languages), World University and School seeks to PLAN for coding for 7.5 billion end users for an universal basic income - and potentially via a cryptocurrency with the blockchain ledger. See, too - https://worlduniversityandschool.blogspot.com/2018/01/saturday-january-13-2018-monthly.html

How best to communicate further about this?

Regards,
Scott

P.S.
Very Google-centric (and Wikipedia-centric) here too, and it could make sense to include London/the British Isles (and per "Cryptocurrencies given major boost by Google" ...  https://www.em360tech.com/tech-news/cryptocurrencies-receive-major-boost-googles-entry-market/) and Finland in this legislation co-pilot project. Also WUaS seeks to create online law schools in all ~200 countries' official languages, and our law students in each of all of these nation states could help write some of this law code too, e.g. here

Old-growth forest: Calling All Poets, Ekphrasis, Allman Bros or the Grateful Dead (which musics can get me into a kind of wonder-zone, as can Basho's haiku), Continue to explore how to create a virtual Harbin experience in a realistic virtual world (aspects of poetry here), Poetry wiki subject at WUaS planned in all ~200 countries' languages, and indeed in all 7,099 living languages ~

Hi Tim and Susan!

Thanks so much, and very nice to meet you on New Year's Eve, Susan!

Here's my very recently published book of poetry ~

"Haiku~ish
and Other Loving Hippy Harbin Poetry"

( http://www.scottmacleod.com/HaikuishPoetryBook.html ).

Found this about your poetry -
https://mikemaggio.net/projects/springtime-in-winter-an-ekphrastic-study-in-art-poetry-and-music/

While there's also some of my poetry in my much larger book and actual-virtual ethnography

"Naked Harbin Ethnography:
Hippies, Warm Pools, Counterculture, Clothing-Optionality & Virtual Harbin"

... where Tim and I visited Harbin together in January 2012, :) ...

the ekphrasis - as a vivid, often dramatic, verbal description of a visual work of art, either real or imagined - of my poetry and poetic books will further emerge around the growth of

a realistic virtual
Harbin Hot Springs, which you can visit here ~

http://tinyurl.com/p62rpcg
and "WALK" down the road 4 miles to Middletown, California,

(in one form) ~ even while heading back to actual Harbin, after some of its trees grow back. Tim, when are we going to head back to Harbin together?

What are you writing about these days, Susan?

Scott

Hi Susan, and Tim,

Great to hear from you as well, Susan! And thank you, Tim, for connecting us!

Sounds like you make writing poetry a very social process. Is a modern haiku something that diverges stylistically from Basho's for example - http://oaks.nvg.org/basho.html (which I found by searching on Basho's most beautiful Haiku ... translation of Haiku being a different question)? I'd like to use my new "Haiku-ish" book to explore translation even (both machine translation for poetry in the @WUaSPress with time even, but also into German, which language I know, and have played with translation in as well). While there are 50 of Basho's Haiku here above, I just came across Basho's "The Narrow Road Through the Deep North" (1694) translated first in 1966 into
English, which also looks great ( https://wikitravel.org/en/Narrow_Road_to_the_Deep_North ).

And, creatively, I've never read Basho while listening, for example, to the Allman Bros or the Grateful Dead (which musics can get me into a kind of wonder-zone, as can Basho's haiku) ... to heighten a reading of Basho's haiku, let alone with Zen Buddhist music or other kinds of
music that move me a lot ... but doing something like this would be an interesting direction to head in. Tim and I may have touched on Zen 'non-thinking' at Reed in the early '80s a little.

In a kind of related vein, I've enjoyed re Basho and music, and a kind of poetry, do you know Robbie Basho's North American Raga -

Robbie Basho - A North American Raga (The Plumstar)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ezp0WMTAzc - which is cool in these regards, and even a little re a kind of poetry in this, and also playing in innovative ways with Indian raga and American '60s acoustic guitar.

While Harbin is still closed due to a devastating fire in Sept 2015 which razed it, I continue to explore how to create a virtual Harbin experience in a realistic virtual world (aspects of poetry here). And in a parallel way, seems like I can hear better Grateful Dead experiences on Youtube these days, cherry-picking even their 1965-1979ish music (which I enjoy more than their 1980-1995 music) ...

Grateful Dead - Dark Star_China Cat Sunflower_The Eleven_Feedback 1-17-68

https://youtu.be/i5xvp4dofk8

... or better Allman Bros music in video (especially since Duane Allman died around 1971) ... than I can with either of their many offshoots live or online, except that Derek Trucks with Greg Allman et al manage to get "there" in the contemporary - to a kind of wonderzone - here and related in 2009 ...

The Allman Brothers Band - 40: 40th Anniversary Show

https://youtu.be/jhXj6VIgJtE
... which recalls newly and creatively the Allman Brothers' soaring musically in the late 1960s ...

Your travels to the Napa Valley sound fun ... writing group-wise eventually too? :)

Nice to be in touch. Tim are you heading to making newly a kind of "poetry" in music with time?

Cheers,
Scott

Hi Choirans, Bruce, Robert, Jack and All,

I'm writing to share my holiday letter with you here -

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ythI_87jV8ERrpPDOV2kxO0p-qgE7UJn/view?usp=sharing

- which also explores the possibility of an Universal Basic Income as an expression of caring (in the spirit of the holidays) with a bit more here ~ http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2018/01/boundary-waters-canoe-area-wilderness.html.

Saw some Unitarian Universalist friends in western Pennsylvania over the holidays, and heard nice singing and music as well.

World University and School's virtual choir awaits further wiki collaborative inspirations - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Virtual_Choir.

And I'm very glad to say WUaS has a new wiki - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Nation_States - which I don't think we had when I sang with you in the spring of 2017.  A variety of online choirs in each of all ~200 countries' major online MIT OpenCourseWare-centric universities? I hope people will create these (and in the all-instruments in all-languages' music school - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/World_University_Music_School - which is not yet moved into the new wiki!)

Happy New Year, and happy singing!

Warm regards,
Scott

Hi T Tomato (and Larry),

Thanks for your email and the information about the Coursera platform, Tanya. I've tried both one (Stanford) Coursera and one edX / HarvardX courses (one called JuryX by Harvard Law Prof Emeritus Charles Nesson - https://www.edx.org/course/juryx-deliberations-social-change-harvardx-hls3x-0 - who may have been very instrumental in the Cannabis legalization process and successes) to completion. Search on Board Meeting here - http://scottmacleod.com/papers.htm - and you'll see a part of the 2012 Advanced Startup Boards' Coursera course (which doesn't seem publicly archived) I took in the Google Hangout.

Good to hear about what makes this course enjoyable and relevant for you, platform-wise.

With World University and School's MIT OCW-centricity, I'm particularly interested about learner experience with these - https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/mitx-related-courseware/ - and how MIT OCW translates into edX. Wondering if there's a MIT OCW>MITX re your free WUaS Business degree we could experiment with after you complete, AND WITH WUaS seeking to get the P/F record from MITx at its conclusion.

Sounds like you are still heading for a Business major at World University and School, and by next taking the MIT OCW course in the WUaS catalog - BUS 201 Technology Based Business Transformation. How's this going? (Larry, are you going to be her academic advisor for this "independent study" again ... or? ) Any courses interest you here https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/mitx-related-courseware/ which we could explore substituting for your current planned remaining courses toward you BA?

I think my taking a HTML5 / CSS / Javascript course from Coursera or edX could have relevance  (but World University and School's all ~200 countries' languages' web sites' coding and all 7,099 living languages web coding would be way beyond this ... and especially with planning for the blockchain ledger and for health care data in the WUaS Medical Schools with online teaching hospitals), and my plate is also otherwise very full, and I'm still waiting to hear back at the MIT Media Lab faculty position for this autumn, which will call for preparation as well. On too with writing a few further books here.

What are you thoughts about independent study courses vs. courses taken via a educational platform?

Cheers,
Scott

T Tomato and Larry,

Thinking very broadly and in terms of your WUaS Business BA degree, here are some interesting and timely questions re blockchain ledger and WUaS on both wings.
I found this blockchain ledger video one of the clearest I've seen so far - https://twitter.com/ValaAfshar/status/952276983307698176- and it uses a real estate ledger over a century as an example .

And here's an accessible Quickbooks and blockchain example of current developments ... in Canada:

... and, conceptually, since Quickbooks is anticipating the blockchain ledger (for finance), and in it's in many countries /  languages ... WUaS could build around this in a variety of ways ...

And while I shared this edX course on blockchain with you before, Tanya - https://www.edx.org/course/blockchain-business-introduction-linuxfoundationx-lfs171x - it's from teh LinuxFoundationX, and while timely, possibly not germane to "brainstorming" / planning / thinking through how you might engage these ideas toward your degree, and how the block chain might emerge at WUaS ... hypothetically if you were a kind of project manager of this, for example.

I'm curious how WUaS could build in the blockchain ledger for health care into our online teaching hospitals with, for example, planned Stanford Medicine tele-robotic-surgery data (conceptually non-financial) in 200 countries' languages, and with, at the same time, say, clinical trials of specific pharmaceuticals, and genetic therapies, in some of all ~7099 living languages (not to mention, re diversity of the block chain ledger, housing contracts in GDocs in the Malayalam language in the state of Karnataka in India, for example ... all on World University and School's nonprofit side.

How to begin to think about the replicating aspects of blockchain technologies in all their "octopus" (e.g. 10s of thousands of spreadsheets over tens of thousands of computer networks) ramifications, and re your upcoming business OCW (OpenCourseWare) ... possibly partly beginning with Quickbooks as a pragmatic starting place?  World University and School as a nonprofit already has Quickbooks for finance, while these Canadian QuickBooks' blockchain innovations may not be available yet in the States or on any QBs but may come to be. (And Quickbooks is in at least 150 countries, and WUaS conceptually planning for all ~200 nation states is very TurboTax centric, which is big in both at the least the USA and Canada, and develops as these two countries' tax codes develop).

How could the blockchain be helpful, in a similar vein, with algae to biofuel production and scaling this?

... Some potentially  interesting questions for a Business major at MIT OCW-centric World University and School.

Sincerely, Scott

Hi Tanya and Larry,

As a followup and FYI, TurboTax and Quickbooks (in more than 150 countries, and presumably many languages),  and Intuit's Multi-store are all made by Intuit, so are richly interoperable - and would keep up with nation states' tax codes.

WUaS is seeking to plan for an Universal Basic Income (and with block chain), and for all 7.5 billion learners / people, conceptually ... and this could, conceptually, be distributed through Quickbooks and be taxable too, making it attractive to all ~200 nation states to facilitate (and also potentially pay for) ... if automation puts massive numbers of jobs in jeopardy into the future.

Could you see yourself applying to and heading for a MIT Ph.D. in the future?

Regards, Scott
